Welcome to Romania!

This trip is the perfect combination for hiking three of the main mountains in Romania: Fagaras (the highest and largest), Bucegi (the most popular) and Piatra Craiului (the most beautiful). During these days we will visit the national parks and climb the highest peaks of the Romanian Carpathians, that is Moldoveanu 2544m, Negoiu 2535m, Vistea 2527m. Within this trip we spend one day in Bucegi Natural Park and two days in Piatra Craiului National Park. Accommodation is provided in chalets and boarding houses.

Day 1
Meet at the airport and transfer to Busteni Town.
Accommodation: boarding house, Busteni.

Day 2
We take the cable car up to Babele Chalet, traverse Bucegi Mountains to climb Omu Peak 2505m and descend to Bran Village.
Duration: 6-7 hours

Accommodation: boarding house, Bran.

Day 3
Transfer to Zarnesti Town. We start to hike through Zarnesti Gorges, which offers amazing scenery, up to Curmatura Chalet situated on the SE side of Piatra Craiului Mountains.
Duration: 4-5 hours
Difficulty: low-medium effort
Accommodation: Curmatura Chalet.

Day 4
We start to climb from Curmatura Chalet up to Padina Popii Peak 1970m situated on the main ridge of Piatra Craiului Mountains. We descend to Plaiu Foii on the steep NW mountainside.
Duration: 6-7 hours
Difficulty: medium effort
Accommodation: boarding house, Plaiu Foii.

Day 5
Transfer to Balea Lake Chalet. On the way we visit Bran Castle and Brancoveanu Monastery from Sambata de Sus.
Accommodation: Balea Lake Chalet.

Day 6
From Balea Lake Chalet we hike to the second highest peak in Romania, Negoiu Peak 2535m and return to Balea Lake Chalet.
Duration: 8-9 hours

Day 7
We hike along the main ridge of Fagaras Mountains from Balea Lake to Podragu Chalet.
Duration: 5-6 hours
Difficulty: medium effort
Accommodation: Podragu Chalet.

Day 8
Starting from Podragu Chalet, we climb the highest and the third highest peaks in Romania, Moldoveanu Peak 2544m and Vistea Peak 2527m, and return to Podragu Chalet.
Duration: 7-8 hours
Difficulty: medium effort
Accommodation: Podragu Chalet.

Day 9
We descend from Podragu Chalet to Victoria Town. Transfer to Brasov City.
Duration: 5-6 hours

Accommodation: boarding house, Brasov.

Day 10
Transfer to the airport.
